Synergy IV

Synergy IV uses bronze to emulate lichen growths on trees. The bronze is grafted onto an ancient bogwood root, and the contrast of materials highlights the silvery surface of the well-weathered bogwood. The featured lichen is Parmella sulcata, one of three species found to cover branches of the famous Birnam Oak.
